What is organic farming?

After the Green Revolution, the yield increased but the profit of the small farmer decreased because the price of chemical fertilizer became expensive every year and the land yield decreased.
Chemicals are not used in organic farming. Farmers use organic manure and organic insecticides for farming.
It also includes animal husbandry, poultry, dairy farms, but farmers do not use any chemicals or hormones.
The demand for organic farming is high in big cities and the prices are also good. Urban people have become very aware of their health for some years and due to this, they are also paying special attention to their food and drink. Organic vegetables and fruits are now becoming the first choice of metros and it is a good option for the farmer to increase his income.

Advantages of organic farming

Organic agricultural production is stable and higher profits for the farmer.
Traditional farming depends on many factors but organic farming works to stabilize the soil and in the long run, it helps the farmer.
It promotes crop diversity.
Organic products are sold expensively in the market across India and demand is increasing.
It does not use any pesticides and chemicals so it creates a healthier environment and life for the young generations.
It controls Global warming by reducing the carbon dioxide content in the air.
The biological properties and fertility of the soil can be enhanced.
The farmer can make a better crop using organic manure and organic insecticide. This will also bring more money in the pocket of the farmer.
Protecting the environment and reducing air and water pollution. Pollution of groundwater with chemical fertilizers and pesticides is a major problem.
The use of organic manure and organic pesticides can greatly reduce the risk of groundwater contamination.
Chemical pesticides are bad for health. Using them for a long time can cause many types of diseases like cancer.
It also helps to keep the water sources unpolluted by reducing the use of pesticides and chemicals.
It does no harm to humans and encourages micro-organisms and flora in the field, improving soil structure.
Agricultural costs are sustainable because there is no need to buy expensive fertilizers and insecticides.
It takes more labor than traditional farming. Increase employment in rural areas.
Organic fertilizers and pesticides can be made by farmers on their own farms.
Yields are lower in organic farming than traditional farming, but the earning is higher because the price of yield is higher.
Farmers can also make organic manure and sell it to the farmers around them. This can also be a new business from which farmers can earn money.

How to do organic farming?

First of all, the farmer should test the health of soil from an agricultural university lab. This investigation gives the correct information on soil health to the farmer.
So that the farmer can prepare a plan for organic health improvement. The soil test decides the type and quantity of organic fertilizer and organic pesticides.
The second task is to make organic manure. Organic fertilizer refers to the fertilizer that is produced with the help of organic products such as crop residues, animal feces, urine, etc.
The organic manure is prepared with the help of waste disposal in 90 to 180 days. There are many types of organic manure like cow dung manure, green manure, cow dung manure, etc.

 Cow Dung Manure

Cow Dung Manure

To make cow dung manure you will need: -
1-dung
2-Neem leaf
3-farming residues
4-Waste Disposer
To make the best manure of cow dung, dug a pit of 1 meter wide, 1 meter deep, 5 to 10 meters in length, and spread a plastic sheet in it.
Then make a thin layer of cow dung and animal urine with a layer of farming residue with Neem leaf in it.
The whole layers are well moisturized with water, cover the pit and close it with mud and cow dung.
After turning 3 times in 2 months, a good organic fertilizer will be prepared for organic farming.

Vermicompost in organic farming

You will need to make vermicompost.
Earthworms 2 to 5 kg
Plastic sheet (as required)
Cow dung (as required)
Neem leaf (as required)
Use green manure
Vermicompost earthworm manure is made with the help of earthworms. Earthworms such as Acinia photida, Pyronoxy exquata, edils make manure in 45 to 60 days.
A shady and moist environment is required to make earthworm manure. Therefore earthworm manure should be made under dense shady trees or under thatch.
Special drainage and source of water should be taken special care during the choice of place.
Dug a long pit and spread plastic sheets in it and spray dung, field soil, neem leaf, and earthworm mixed water every day as needed. 1 kg earthworm makes 1 kg vermicompost in 1 hour.
Vermicompost is an antibiotic and it causes less disease to the crop.

Green manure

Green manure is made from cowpea, mung, urad, dhecha, linen and guar crops.

To get the maximum organic elements and androgens from green manure, press these crops in the field within 30-50 days because in this period the plants become soft and get disposed of quickly.
Green manure supplies nitrogen and organic elements as well as provides many nutritional elements to the farm.
Green manure contains nitrogen, sulfur, sulfur, potash, magnesium, calcium, copper, iron, and zinc, etc. which make the soil fertile.

How to make organic pesticide

Organic pesticides are very easy to make. For this, the farmer will need all these things: -
1 clay pot
2 kg Neem leaves
2 kg Karanja leaves
2 kg Madar leaves
500 gm jaggery
2 kg dung
500-gram gram flour
16-liter cow urine
To make organic pesticides, first cut Neem, Karanja, and Madar leaves into small pieces.
Put cow urine in the earthen pot.
After this, make a mixture of dung, gram flour, jaggery, termite soil.
After this, mix the small pieces of three leaves in the above mixture.
Put all these things in the pot and keep the lid tied with a cloth so that the gas does not come out. Tie this pot and keep it in the shade for 7 days.
After 7 days, filter the solution with a cloth and mix with 7-8 liters of cow urine in the pot.
In this way, the medicine will be made after 10 days and this pesticide can last up to 6 months.
Use 100 liters of water at the time of first weeding in one liter of medicine.
Add the second weeding 1-liter medicine and 80 liters of water.
Use 1 liter of medicine and 60 liters of water at the time of third weeding.
Tobacco is also involved in making pesticides. Boil 250 grams of tobacco in 1 liter of water and filter it. Mix it in 15 liters of water and spray it on the plants.
Weed control: - Farmers can control weeds by deep plowing, weeding, hoeing in the crop cycle heat.
Farmers can also use Neem, Karanja, Chilli, Garlic.

Organic market information and profit

The market for organic products is expanding day by day as people are now using organic products more than ever. more and more people understand the advantages of organic farming the market will expand.
By eating organic food, people live more healthily, so the farmer gets a very good price for organic products.

And in 2016, he was awarded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for a bumper crop on a small plot.
Till a few years ago, a person was a novice in farming and was engaged in his computer repair business and today he is a successful organic farmer who sells 8 lakh vegetables from 1.5 acres of land.
